Linwood Community Library seeks early stage library visionary to lead our initiative to reach the members of an exurban district in the western part of the Kansas City metropolitan area through digital content including ebooks, downloadable audiobooks and databases. Successful candidate will love gagdets, problem-solving, the Internet, and - of course - Books. Candidate will have full leadership over the library's web presence and be the conceirge for our patron's using digital services.

The Digital Resources Specialist primary responsibility is to evaluate, recommend and implement strategies to engage Linwood Community Library patrons, likely many who are not current library users, with digital collections including e-books and downloadable audiobooks.

The Digital Resources Specialist will have oversight over all the libraries digital branch locations including the web site and social media outlets working with our current volunteers to create engaging and useful interfaces for patrons to interact with library staff and resources.

Provide regular trainings and support to Linwood Community Library patrons who use the library's and state's digital resources

Learn and be able to provide general customer service at the library

Position will be 20 hours per week.. Position will need to work some weekend and evening hours. Position will need to be flexible to accommodate visits to institutions including civic meetings, church events and one-on-one training sessions. This position will be paid on a monthly basis (fourth week of the month) at a range between $10-$15.
